Hope everybody had a happy Easter.  Here's the scoop from the streets of Seattle's East Precinct:

11:24AM - Martin Luther King Jr. Way & E. Arthur Pl - Car Prowl - Caller saw a man break into a vehicle and then leave the scene. Black male, black baseball cap, black coat, making his getaway on a red bicycle.
11:25AM - 1401 Broadway - Narcotics Activity - Woman doing drugs in the QFC restroom, refuses to leave
12:13PM - 1400 25th Ave - Disturbance - Woman on 911 said she didn't need help, but operators could hear a girl crying "get off me" in the background.
12:34PM - Stolen Vehicle - State Patrol lost sight of a stolen vehicle from Federal Way, last seen heading northbound on I-5 from the Swift-Albro exit. Green Pontiac Grand Am, possibly involved in a strong-arm robbery. Update: East Precinct officers found it in the I-5 express lanes near the Lake City exit. Update x2: They're making a stop near exit #174. Update x3: One taken into custody
12:35PM - 1800 26th Ave S - Alarm - On a residence
1:33PM - 8th & Cherry - Assault - A man hit the victim with a roll of quarters and then attacked him with a knife. Last seen northbound in the alley from the food bank. White male, 25, 6'", blue jacket, cammo pants, knife strapped to his pants in a sheath.
2:12PM - 20th & E. Fir - Assault - Officer asking for help in arresting a domestic violence suspect
2:13PM - 2410 E. Cherry St. - Narcotics Activity - Four exchanging drugs by the back parking lot of NOVA school. Two black males, two black females
2:29PM - 23rd AVe E. & E. John - Fight - A group of juveniles are fighting near the bus stop. One is down on the ground getting kicked.
3:08PM - 1600 E. Olive Way - Narcotics Activity - Man smoking the crack in the Starbucks restroom.
3:59PM - 23rd & E. Marion - Narcotics Activity - Man selling from a big black truck. Black male, 30s, black & red jacket with a hood
4:55PM - 2500 E. Calhoun - Burglary - Woman arrived home to find evidence of a forced entry
5:07PM - 23rd & Fir - Animal - Pitbull running loose in the street. Animal control en route. Update: Animal control may not be responding because they only have one officer on duty today, and the dog is not being aggressive. (note to dog owners: A single animal control officer means it's open season for off-leash action at your local park. enjoy!)
Update x2: Case closed: Police returned the dog to their owner
5:11PM - 1500 Belmont - Threat - Man in an apartment is threatening to assault people. Mgmt wants him removed
6:00PM - 1400 S. Lane - Shoplifting - Person in custody at Goodwill
6:56PM - 1800 24th Ave - Domestic Disturbance - Caller is in an argument with her ex. She later wanted to cancel, but was advised that such a thing is impossible
7:05PM - 2300 E. Yesler - Disturbance - Three kids, 6-10 years old, were being disruptive in the library. Staff wants them trespassed. (no more reading for you!)
7:29PM - 900 23rd Ave - Narcotics Activity - Two female dealing near Spring St.
7:32PM - 200 31st Ave - Family Disturbance - Caller is arguing with her 13 year old grandson

This happens too many times to mention there; surprised they haven't called the cops more than they do on it. You pretty much have to be desperate/insane to use the restrooms there - they're usually "out of order" cos someone had heroin shits all over the toilet/walls/floor/et cetera. How nice to have THAT right by the bakery and the Starbucks kiosk. Mmm latte and chocolate-filled donuts, huh?

I was hoping I'd make it onto the blotter
Over the weekend my neighbor called the cops on me because I wrote "drive less" into some wet cement. Two cops actually showed up and gave me a lecture about destroying public property! It was hilarious. 24th & Norman

If by hilarious you mean you are an idiot I agree. We don't need more vandalism in our neighborhoods. If it is okay for you to write drive less, is it okay for someone with a differing opinion to write drive more in front of your house? You have your freedom of speech, but not the freedom to post your message wherever you please. What if someone wants to start writing GO Nazis!? You have no more right to post your message than anyone else.
