11:32AM - Broadway and E Harrison - Shoplifting - From an adult bookstore, white male, 5'8, thin build, black clothing, last seen running Eastbound on Harrison
12:06PM - 23rd Ave and E Spring St - Narcotics Activity - Two women selling, black female, 40s, blue jacket, black female, 40s green jacket
12:11PM - 398 Lake Washington Blvd S - Vandalism - Four people tagging the bridge. They're associated with a gold sedan.
12:19PM - 400 Bellevue Ave E - Family Disturbance - Couple are arguing. The boyfriend locked the caller out of their apartment and took her car keys.
12:28PM - 12th Ave S and S Jackson St - Narcotics Activity - Several men are going from restaurant to restaurant. The caller thinks they are transporting drugs.
12:39PM - 2323 E Cherry St - Disturbance - Man laying on a couch in Garfield Community Center is refusing to leave.
1:10PM - 1100 14th Ave - Possible Burglary - Tenant thinks that there is someone breaking into the unit below his.
1:49PM - 1101 Broadway - Disturbance - Transient male is in a stall in the bathroom at the Silver Cloud Inn, possibly using drugs, and refusing to leave.
2:42PM - 12th & E. Pine - Mail Run - Anybody want to do the E. precinct mail run? Anybody? Is this thing on?
3:12PM - 1400 E Jefferson St - Car Prowl - Man broke into a car and was seen running with a plastic bag, hispanic male, 5'8, black jacket, white cap, orange bag.
3:15PM - 17th and E Madison St - Disturbance - 7-year-old girl says her parents are fighting
3:37PM - 1100 Broadway - Shooting - Man was found in a white Toyota Tundra with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He is alive, but in need of blood. All Southbound traffic is blocked at Broadway and Union. The truck is registered to a Seattle address. Update: Maybe not a suicide after all. Witnesses describe seeing a man run away from the vehicle right after the shot was fired. He's a black male, 30s-40s, 5'10", slender build, transient looking, black heavy jacket, black pants, black backpack, last seen southbound on broadway.
Update x2: Metro says there's a possible match for the suspect on coach #3627 stopped eastbound on Madison at 37th.
Update x3: The possible suspect exited the bus at 37th & Madison and left in an unknown direction on foot.
Update x4: A pedestrian in Madison Park said he didn't see anyone walk away from the bus. Police are doing searching the area
4:05PM - 9000 Rainier Ave S - Armed Robbery - Man held up a sub shop, hispanic male, 5'11, thin, 25, black jacket with hood, jeans

i wonder what's going on?
We just saw 4 cop cars park on Columbia @ 23rd, and 8 police people walk south on 23rd. I wonder what's going on?

I went back to the scanner recordings and couldn't find much. Three 490 units all logged in to the same call, but no one said what it was. I'm not sure if they are gang or drug squad...

what's a 490 unit? I assume "under cover" because there were unmarked cars in the parade...

All police units have different call signs. Three of the ones involved last night were something like 492, 494, and 495. Those are different than normal patrols (which would be 1George2, 3Edward3, 2Charlie, etc), and are from one of the specialty squads like drugs, gangs, vice, etc. But I'm not sure which specialty they belong to.
