From a gray December day in Seattle's East Precinct:

10:33AM - 723 E. Pike - Disturbance - A man with mental issues walked into a store and started yelling, threatened to throw things around. He left eastbound on Pike. White male, 40s, pony tail, missing some teeth.
10:52AM - 1401 Broadway - Shoplifting - QFC security is chasing two shoplifters.
Update: Female caught, male still on the run. White male, 25, black coat, black pants
Update x2: Security is still following the man, now in the parking lot next to the B of A at 10th E. & E. John
12:23PM - 2800 E Cherry - Fraud - There's a man in the store who has tried to use a fake credit card in the past. I'd like to see this "fake" credit card. Is it made out of cardboard? Balsa wood? Addressed to "John Q. Cardholder"? Update: The man left before police arrived in a gray older cadillac sedan.
12:32PM - 1400 S. Dean St. - Narcotics Activity - Caller saw a green mercedes drop off a transient in the parking lot. They think it's a mobile drug delivery vehicle serving the local transient community.
12:38PM - 1400 26th Ave - Alarm - On a residence
12:39PM - 1207 S. Jackson Seattle - Disturbance - A client is yelling and refusing to leave
12:42PM - 300 22nd Ave S - Narcotics Activity - Someone selling drugs out of a Gold Toyota Tercel with a sunroof
1:48PM - 31st S. & S. Charles. - Suspicious Circumstance - Man in an old gray truck has a hose running from the tank back to the cab. Perhaps stealing gas?
1:54PM - 747 Broadway - Infant Protection - Child-protective services wants police to help take a 1-day old child into custody. The child is with the mother now.
2:07PM - 2307 E. Union St. - Trespassing - Liquor store would like a panhandler removed. Black female, 30, black jacket with stripes, blue jeans
3:21PM - 1400 S. Lane - Shoplifting - Person in custody at Goodwill
3:43PM - 23rd S & S. Jackson - Accident - Vehicle vs. pedestrian accident, medics on their way
4:25PM - Denny and Melrose - Accident - Pickup vs Two pedestrians, no injuries, Northbound traffic blocked
4:29PM - 11th Ave and E Howell St - Hit and Run - Tan Mercedes hit a car and fled. He is driving very slowly and might be intoxicated. Update: Officer sees the suspect vehicle attempting to parallel park and says that the suspect is "a very elderly man"
4:35PM - 3200 E. Spruce - Family Disturbance - A family member just kicked in the door of a residence and said something about police chasing him. Black male, 50. He's know to carry a gun, but doesn't seem to be armed today.
4:51PM - 100 14th Ave - Narcotics Activity - Two men cooking up drugs from white baggies. One of the men, according to an officer, "is a prolific dealer" in the 500 block of Broadway.
4:55PM - 1500 33rd Ave - Alarm - Panic alarm triggered at a residence
5:23PM - 1100 E Harrison St - Missing Child - 9-year-old child did not return home from Bailey Gatzert Elem. He is a black male. Update: 5:50 PM, found
5:49PM - 1410 E John St - Shoplifting - Person in custody at Safeway
5:57PM - 9th and Jefferson St - Welfare Check - Caller sees a woman stumbling in the street, black female, 20s, black jacket, blue jeans
6:03PM - 2700 E. Union - Disturbance - Operators got a 911 call with a lot of commotion in the background, including a statement of "you've cut my leg!"
6:11PM - 1700 Boylston - Domestic Violence - Boyfriend through the complainant up against a wall. He's now upset that she called police.

In California, just about any quickstop/sin-mart can sell liquor. I think that way it spreads the fun around instead of concentrating it. Here, it's pretty much a NIMBY, but it's gotta live somewhere...

wow, suddenly the liquor store has issues with what is going on around them? a few years back I was in the store while they were kicking out an obviously drunk shoplifter. Turns out his car was parked near mine in the lot and in the back was a little girl (no car seat). When I ran back in to get them to call the police, the entire staff looked at me like I was crazy. then there was the time I saw a woman who worked there go to the crack house on my street ... what a joke, state employees even.
