Arrest Made in Philly’s Shooting: UPDATE

Police will announce at a 3:30 1:15 press conference that the arrest of the Philly’s gunman Rey Alberto Davis-Bell was been made. They are stating that the gunman knew the victim and the two men have had previous altercations.

We are being told that an officer fired shots at the suspect shortly after the shooting in Rainier Valley yesterday, but he got away. An off-duty officer in Rainier Valley heard shots fired around 12:44pm yesterday. When he went to investigate, the suspect fled in a vehicle. The officer only had his personal vehicle, so he didn’t chase the suspect.

We will provide more details as they unfold.

Update: 1:05pm – suspect arrested at 11:15 in the 3900 block of South Kenyan, following a foot-chase with police. No weapons were found on him, but police are continuing to search the area. The residence where he was found was being monitored by police.
