Madison Park Bank of America hit by ‘suspicious’ fire

Seattle Police are investigating an early Wednesday morning blaze that damaged the Bank of America at 4112 E Madison. Here is the preliminary report from SPD. The fire department responded to the 2a incident but we do not yet have details from SFD on damages.

On November 9th at approximately 2:00 a.m. officers responded to a bank alarm in the 4100 block of East Madison Street.  Upon arrival officers discovered the bank’s outdoor ATM machine engulfed in flames.  Officers also observed fire inside the bank, possibly originating from the ATM fire outside.  SFD was called to the scene and put out the fire.

Preliminary investigation indicates that there were no signs of forced entry into the bank, nor were any surrounding structures affected by the fire.  It is unknown at this time if the ATM machine was burglarized.

Seattle Police Arson/Bomb Squad detectives are on scene investigating further.

There is no suspect information at this time.  This remains an active and on-going investigation.
