Man says he was shot at by a vehicle headed southbound on 12th, described as a tan sedan occupied by 3. The driver displayed a weapon out of the window and fired two shots.
Caller reports hearing a single shot fired somewhere to the east
Caller says he heard what sounded like two gunshots, followed by a man who came out of the house yelling and screaming. The man then went back inside and another pop was heard. Suspect described as a white male, 60-70, wearing a denim jacket and tan pants.
Update: There was a previous incident here in June where a mental man, recently released from Western State, was outside yelling and screaming and banging on things Update x2: Police can see a man inside beating on the walls and furniture. Report of several shots fired through the window of a house. The caller hung up before completing the conversation with the 911 operator. The shooter ran up the stairway at 31st & Dearborn.

Update x3: Citizen says they saw two males running westbound through the Washington Middle School playfield Update x4: Another witness says that it was an exchange of gunfire across 23rd Ave, and he's found bullet holes in the windows of the Bank of America building

Caller reports hearing a single shot fired. Nothing else heard or seen. We heard this at CDNews World HQ too, but didn't sound like a gunshot to us
Officer yells over the radio "Shots fired!" He is in a foot pursuit, caught two suspects, one is unaccounted for. Another officer found a firearm at 19th and Jackson. Update: victim with a gunshot wound to the hand was located at 1800 S Lane. It is difficult to tell, but it seems like shots were exchanged between officers and the suspects, lots of confusion trying to locate officers, but all officers involved are accounted for.

Caller reports 5-6 gunshots heard in the area of 23rd & Yesler. Also reports seeing several running through the park (? on 22nd??). Only a single call so far, so may not be real.
Caller said he heard four gunshots, then saw four teens running away towards Pratt Park. Update: Another witness reported hearing the shots and then seeing a newer black Impala with shiny rims leaving the area

Report of what sounded like a single gunshot in the 300 block of either 28th or 29th S.
Several shots fires behind Starbucks, group of teens shooting at a vehicle. They ran behind the pharmacy towards the Red Apple. Update: suspects are Eastbound on Jackson, three black males, white striped jacket. Shell casings found and officers determined that shots were fired Southbound toward 23rd Ave hitting the WaMu, no victims have been located. Update x2: A Cadillac was somehow involved in the shooting. It fled Southbound. Police have located the empty vehicle in front of the residence where its registered and have the driver detained and several more exiting the home. Update x3: Bullet holes have been found in one of the car's windows.
Woman has been shot multiple times with a BB gun. "She says she sees one white and one brown, but doesn't know which one its coming from..." Update: officer on the scene has determined that the weapon used had to be a .17 or .22 caliber rifle from the distances involved. Resident of the apartment is telling officers that a man on the 4th floor of the building has been shooting his BB gun at people for several days. Traffic is being blocked in the area. Update: x2 One shot fired at police from the 3rd floor. Update: x3 The man has dropped his rifle off of the balcony and is coming out of the window. He is in custody and the apartment has been cleared. They are reopening the streets and checking to see if any officers have been injured. Update :x4 All officers accounted for, no injuries.

Multiple callers claim to have heard eight to twelve gunshots, but didn't see anything. Officers thinks it might be a Vietnamese New Year fireworks celebration. Update: it's fireworks

Caller says 5 shots fired. Dispatch advised patrols that the caller was part of a previous disturbance and is highly intoxicated. Update: Officers on the scene say everything appears to be normal.
Officer arrived at the SPD drop-in office and found a bullet hole in the window. Update: There was a shots-fired call at 5:30am this morning. Caller said a man fired a gun from the bus stop at 23rd & Union
Another shots fired call, this one in the area of Pratt Park. Caller says they hear someone screaming too.
Update: Another caller reports hearing multiple shots fired near 17th & Jackson Update x2: E. Precinct command requesting officers from West Precinct to come help out the various calls. I think it's probably about time to make those transfers permanent, yes? Update x3: 5:44pm - Pratt Park is checking clear. No sign of problems Update x4: Witness says that there were 15-20 black male youths in the area near the stairs by 17th. They heard two shots, and saw a victim get hit and then run up towards 20th & Yesler. Then they heard 3rd shot coming from the group of youth. Update x5: Another officer spoke to a second witness who saw the victim who was shot at 19th & Yesler and could name him. Officers are on foot in the park to see if they can find that victim. A witness saw a man with a gun walking southbound on 28th, then heard several shots. Black male, 6' tall, black jacket, possibly with a hoody.
Update: Another caller says the shots came from a green 4-door vehicle that was last seen eastbound on Jackson Update x2: Multiple conflicting descriptions & directions of travel on involved vehicles. Another caller says they saw a vehicle speed off fast, northbound on 30th. It was a maroon Ford Explorer. License plate matches a white '97 Ford Explorer Update x3: Police have contacted a victim in 2700 block of S. Lane who was shot at but not hit. They confirmed it came from a maroon Explorer. Update x4: Another witness says they saw the vehicle going northbound on 31st from Jackson Update x5: Shots fired from 28th & Jackson, westbound, towards the corner store. There may be a magazine on the ground there. Update x6: Suspect may have been wearing a white jacket. Black male, teens, with a street name that is the same as a baseball great & cartoon character Update...
Caller reports hearing several shots fired in the area. A witness saw several juveniles run eastbound shortly after the shots were heard. Another call reports seeing a gun in the hands of one of two black males, 16, both wearing black hooded jackets and black pants.
Update: Another witness reports seeing them take off in a light or white colored minivan/SUV and took off eastbound on Alder. Update x2: An officer has found shell casings at 19th & Alder. Update x3: Officer says that it appears they were firing northbound on 19th
Callers report several shots fired
Update: No answer at the door. It appears that the shots were fired from the NW corner of 14th & E. Alder. Update x2: Witness saw one 1 male, unknown race, very dark clothing, possibly jacket or hoody, long dark pants, 5'9"-5'10", husky build. Last seen outhbound from 15th & Alder Update x3: The original call reported 3 shots heard. The witness on the scene remembers 2. Police have recovered one spent shell casing.
One caller reports shots fired
Original report of 5-6 shots fired in the area. Then a second call about shots fired inside a house. Update Person down with gunshot wounds. No suspect information at this time. Update x2 Witnesses report seeing a 4 door, copper-colored vehicle with 3 juveniles onboard fleeing the scene. A juvenile male was seen fleeing Northbound on foot. He is a light-skinned black male named Victor, 5'7 150, baggy clothing. The victim is conscious and alert and has a bleeding abrasion to the head. The victim's vehicle has several bullet holes. Caller on 24th says it sounds like the shots came from the area around 23rd & Pike
A woman in a boat reports seeing and hearing gun shots go into the water, and seeing a man standing on the shore near that area. He may have been shooting at some ducks in the water. Update: Multiple witnesses now say it was fireworks
Man is sure he heard shots coming from an adjacent parking lot. An officer was on a traffic stop in the area and heard the sound, but did not think it sounded like gun shots.
Call from a cell phone reporting shots fired. An officer in the area reports "business as usual at 23rd & Union". Last week at the EPCPC meeting, Capt. McDonagh said that the bad guys try to distract cops by calling in fake shots-fired calls.
Caller says that they saw a man fire ten rounds and then run westbound. No other calls on it so far. That's just a few blocks from CDN World Headquarters, and we haven't heard anything. The caller is an anonymous male who hung up during the call. Update: Dispatchers called the complainant back, and he said that he had loaned his phone to another man t the bus stop who said he had to make an emergency call. The guy that borrowed the phone appeared to be arabic, about 25, with a white shirt on.

Caller reports of hearing a single shot fired in the area to the south. No other reports
Caller heard 5 shots fired in the vicinity of 19th & Jefferson. Another caller saw 2 black males in their teens and in black jackets, last seen running eastbound on Jefferson towards garfield, one in white hat & cornrows had the gun. 3 witnesses, only one saw the suspect with the gun, apparently shooting up into the air. Police are contacting two possibles southbound on 20th near Alder. Another possible at the bus stop at 18th & Jefferson.
Update: 11:26am - Witnesses are now saying the suspects were actually headed westbound Update: 11:31am - "Positive ID on the suspect with the gun". we're not clear which potential suspect they're talking about. Update: 11:38am - Shell casings found outside 1911 E. Jefferson. Update: 11:53am - No damage found in the immediate area. A separate call said they found a bullet hole in their house in the 300 block of 19th Ave, but police are skeptical since that's more than a block away. Update: 11:57am - Two "good" suspects in custody, and an officer just found...
Caller reports hearing shots fired at 28th & Jackson. Two police units were in the area and didn't hear anything. Report that there are people playing in the park, with no obvious sign of alarm. Apparently a false complaint.
Dark colored sedan headed northbound, black 80s 4-door
Just north of Yesler. Subjects headed eastbound from 27th & Fir. Another witness says eastbound on Alder from MLK. (i was on the phone when this happened, so I missed the original call. Not sure exactly what's going on yet. But it's evidently pretty serious based on the number of units and the tenor of the radio). Police have stopped 2 possible suspects at 31st & Alder (turned out to be a negative match). Suspects are two black males, 26, one in black jacket blue jeans. One with the gun had red baseball hat, blue jacket, jeans. Weapon is some sort of short-barrel shot gun or a rifle, 3 feet in length. Update: 3:18pm - Evidently there's limited evidence of a shooting. Most officers are being sent off to other things

4 black males, approx. 15 years old, run northbound through the Walgreen's parking lot. Shell casings found in front of the bus stop.
Reports of shots fired in the area. Two people seen running in opposite direction of where the shots came from. No description of suspects. Update: Individuals were running in an alley, but language difficulties are preventing dispatch from getting any more specifics from the caller. Police contacted other citizens in the area who said they didn't hear anything.
