Young Urban Authors Book Release CelebrationCome join us to celebrate an amazing accomplishment!

These 2012 Young Urban Authors participated in the SYVPI Central Area Network partnership pairing the Community Matching Mini Grant and the YMCA employment programs.  We are so excited about the accomplishments of these teenagers from the Central Area Network who will become fully-published authors. From reading the previews, these books will touch your heart, make you laugh, make you think and so much more. These youth have compelling stories to share. They will be on hand to read excerpts from their written work and sign copies of their books.  Don’t miss out!

Get Ready for the 2013 Employment Season!

Get ready for the 2013 Youth Employment Season!  Teens will learn what to wear in different work environments.

Youth employers will be on hand or will have flyers about upcoming job readiness workshops and other 2013 opportunities.

Did you know that you will need your social security card for employment? If you are not sure where yours is, you can obtain a new one. Don’t wait until the deadlines to get your key documents.  It may impact your ability to get the job.

Get more tips by attending the workshop.  We look forward to seeing you!
