The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee will host its 31st annual region-wide Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration on Monday, January 21, 2013, with the theme: ”Let Freedom Ring!”
On Monday, January 21, 2013, workshops will begin at 9:30am, the rally at 11am, and the march to the Federal Building on 2nd Avenue at 12:30pm. All events at Garfield High School, located at 400 23rd Ave. Seattle, WA. This is an event you do not want to miss!
If you would like to have a table in the main lobby of Garfield High School on the morning of the event, space is available on a first come, first served basis. Bring your own table & chair. Doors to the school will open at 8am. Space in the hallway is FREE.
Seattle has one of the largest annual Martin Luther King Day Celebrations in the U.S. We honor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., for his work toward racial equality and economic justice for all people, for his commitment to nonviolence, and for his stand against war and militarism.
