Come help us scope out the proposed route for the 1.8 mile hopscotch course across the CD! We’ll be meeting up at Flo Ware Park on 28th and Jackson and walking over have some beer and food at the Neighbor Lady on 23rd and Union.

Can’t make the walk but getting curious about how you can lend a hand?
Live or work on the route?
WE NEED BLOCK CAPTAINS!
Block Captains will be the neighborhood masters of fun! You’ll be passing out chalk, chatting with your neighbors and helping people continue on their way along the course.
HOST A GARAGE SALE! MAKE A LEMONADE STAND!
Are you kidding? No way! Maybe you don’t hopscotch and can’t stand making chalk drawings..but you could take advantage of all the folks out the street to clean out your stuff and make a bit of money. We’ll be listing ALL EVENTS along the route on our upcoming website so why not? This is also a great opportunity for community organizations to do a little fundraising.
HELP US FIGURE OUT PARTNERSHIPS and MORE FUN!
We don’t know everyone yet on the route, but we’d love to see partnerships and mentoring happening all along the route, so if you are involved in school, social organization, church in the neighborhood and aren’t on the route but want to participate, let’s figure out how we can get your paired up with activities on the route! We’re looking for people and group who want to organize games and other FUN events. Have a giant chess set? Have lots of smaller ones and tables to host some chess? Like dodge ball? Know how to play four square? Are you on a jump rope team? We are looking for you!

Here’s that proposed route one more time:

why not have it on 23rd. Oh, wait.. that would be neither fun nor safe
This seems like a good event and am sorry I missed it.
The actual Hopscotch event isn’t until June 1, so there’s plenty of time to get involved and lend a hand…or plan your own event somewhere along the route and add it to our soon-to-be interactive map!
Ok, I see the date is for a planning meeting. Thank you.
Here’s a write up of this walk on the new HOPSCOTCH CD event website.

We’re just totally excited for June 1st!
Well thanks for that.
