with Zero Waste Seattle and Art for Social Change

Everyone is invited to join the fun and help build a kid-friendly giant trash monster out of recycled materials.   Meet the Bag Monster at 10 am and at 12:30 pm when this Yeti-like creature (see photo) makes a rare appearance to help us discover ways we can decrease our negative impact on the planet.   And then go to the Fremont Solstice Parade and see your creation come to life!

Please bring used soda cans or other clean cans – we will also have plenty on hand.  Zero Waste Seattle is the community group that works on the various ordinances in Seattle about reducing plastic bags and Styrofoam food containers, opting-out of phonebooks, and other recycling and waste reduction efforts. We do our work primarily by making large movable art creatures.  Our goal is to have fun!
