We came home last night to find our garage door open and my dark blue Cannondale road bicycle missing. It has finger tip shifters, a triple chain ring up front, and a Body Geometry seat. I know the recovery chance is fairly low but I filed a police report and I am hoping extra eyes on the look out might help. The attached photo is of a similar looking Cannondale (but without fingertip shifters or the triple chain ring up front).
And just a reminder to write down the serial number of your bicycle and take a photo of yourself with it. Sure wish I had….
Lot’s of aluminum frame bikes are stripped down an sold at the Recycle Depot on Rainers. Probably already crushed and sold for $5.
I saw a down and out looking guy pushing a maroon full suspension mountain bike west on Dearborn. He had a 24+ foot aluminum extension ladder tied to one side of it and strapped to that were two aluminum step ladders on about 6 foot and the other about 4 foot. I’m pretty sure it was all headed to the Recycle Depot. Everything looked to be in great shape. Looks like a construction guy or electrician will be buying new ladders and somebody will need a new bike.
Anybody missing this stuff? I have pictures of the ‘suspect’ and the goods. Let me know if you need them.
