Development Update: Triple Townhouses on 25th Ave S.

A commenter made a good point last week: while big development projects have screeched to a halt, smaller residential projects are still getting built, though at a pace much slower than during the townhouse heydays of 2007.

Here's a good example, where a developer has applied to split a lot into four pieces to support eventual sale of townhouses that are already under construction.

The plans are to keep the existing single-family home, and build a 3-unit 3-story townhouse structure in what used to be the backyard. The new building will have just shy of 3,000 square feet of new space, split evenly among the 3 units.

And these new townhomes will be very close to the new Rainier station on the East Link line, when it eventually gets built.
