No solid leads yet in officer murder investigation

Not a lot of new details from afternoon press conference in the Brenton murder. Here's the highlights from the Q&A:

Any solid leads? Not yet, but following up on a lot of possibilities from incoming information

Person of interest under arrest? The person under arrest is not a strong suspect

More specific vehicle description? No - still a general description of a beige/white/silver 2-door car

Federal support? Yes - From FBI, ATF, and practically every other federal agency with a law-enforcement function

Gang involvement? Not enough information to say yes or no so far. SPD did get a contact from a SoCal city where gang members shot at officers. Details of that investigation were provided to SPD.

Could there be a suspect out there with gunshot wounds? Definitely possible, but no reports from any hospital so far. And so far Officer Sweeney hasn't been able to definitively say whether the car or a suspect was hit by her return fire.

Type of gun? "Some type of firearm." Only thing ruled out is a shot gun - it was definitely a bullet-firing weapon.

Status on review of video from Saturday night? Still a lot of data to go through. No clear answer on whether Officer Brenton's patrol car video picked up anything of interest.

The question is it MOB,or rouge POLICE? Gangs that a joke,every gang member would have been arrested,beaten or shot by now....THIS WAS A BIG TIME HIT! why do you think the FBI,ATF are on the case.

SPD has 0 info, couldnt even say if it was a rifle or a hand gun, all they said was it wasn't a shotgun, a kid coulda figured that out. with that being said, id be willing to bet any kind of money SPD knows somethings going on internally, crooked.

I read the news stories about this shooting, and it becomes clear to me. Car make, color, year and model : UNKNOWN
Whoever pulled this off had skills. They apparently avoided police dash camera. They in the heat of gun battle able to back car up and turn corner escaping injury.

Here is the problem as I see it. Until this case gets solved, there will be hell to pay in the central district and nearby neighborhoods. Police will continue their increased shaking of mostly blacks and brown skinned folks.

I often listen to my scanner and some of the recent back channel (TAC) car to car conversations have been chilling. These guys (cops) are out for blood.

SPD IS A GANG ALSO, THEIR OUT 4 REVENGE, SOMETHING WHITE AMERICA WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND...WAIT...THEY DO UNDERSTAND, AND SUPPORT IT.
