RE: strong arm robbery
No - strong-arm robberies use only body force, not weapons

RE: strong arm robbery
Not necessarily - I think it just means that force was used. When it happened to me, it was classified as strong arm robbery, but there was no weapon involved - I was just thrown down and injured, and of course my shoulder bag was taken.

RE: strong arm robbery
Regular robbery is robbery done with threats or implied harm, including implied weapons I believe. Someone saying "give me your money or I'll punch you" and me handing over the cash would be regular plain old robbery. Strong arm robbery is robbery with the use of physical force, but no weapon. A person grabbing my arm and taking money out of my hand would be an example. Armed robbery is robbery with the use of a weapon. Someone pulling a knife on me and me handing over my cash money would be this.

I think what kind of force was used determines the degree of felony someone is charged with in accordance with the degree of danger they put the victim in. I'm p sure all robberies are felonies.

An opinion about calling the police regarding probable toy guns
Most of us grew up in the 70s and 80s when a toy gun looked exactly like a real gun. In recent years many responsible toy manufacturers have made an effort to make toy guns that can’t be mistaken for real guns. A quick surf through the toy section of Amazon and Toys R Us shows the wide majority to be big, brightly colored plastic things or old-fashioned cowboy pistols. The ‘realistic’ guns have orange tips, which can be difficult to see from a distance. We live in a neighborhood where two guns were stolen on a property on Norman Street and the police suspected they might have been hidden or ditched as the suspect traveled along Judkins and Irving. Irving is my street, and I have a six year old boy. If you have reason to suspect children are playing with guns I personally ask that you do, please, call the police. I have to believe that most mothers would rather deal with police checking on toy guns than a dead child. My thanks to the citizen who did call.
