New Eatery Opens in Old MezzaLuna Spot!

If you like Greek food, you're going to like this bit of information.  A Greek-Persian style restaurant -- called "Kabobish" -- is opening in the space vacated by MezzaLuna on Judkins just west of MLK.  The owner, Murad-Khan, says they're aiming for a "soft opening" on Friday with lunch and dinner, before a grander Grand Opening down the road.

The specialties will be kabobs and gyros, with prices hovering in the $7-9 range.

Murad-Khan says he and his brother already own a similar eatery in Yakima, and that they're excited about coming to the CD.

It looks like it will be a bit cozier than MezzaLuna after a side room was walled off, with room for about 10 tables.

We've got full details and a scan of their menu in our business directory. If you eat there, come back and leave a review and let us all know what you thought.

tasty and reasonably priced
I also went today, and the kabob platter was good. Lots of food for the money. The owner was really friendly, I hope he can make it work. I'll be back.

gyros and baklava
went today and found the food to be good. the gyro was $5.50 and came with a lot of fresh vegetables. the lamb was well seasoned and had a slight bit of a kick. you can get fries for an additional dollar.

will be going back and am happy for a local option

just remember
support your local restaurants if you want them to stick around! You and your neighbors are their target customers.

tried it today
Our family met two other families for lunch today and really enjoyed the food. Murad was very friendly and made a point to ask all of our names (and even remembered them as we were leaving). He was on his own today and had only planned on being open for a few hours on Sundays. He was on his own because he wasn't really expecting anyone to show up for the few hours he was open. But, there were two people there when we got there, eight of us, and then two more walked in while we were there! Needless to say, service was pretty slow, but we didn't mind given the circumstances.

The meat was very fresh and well seasoned and the price was amazing. We're definitely going to come back and hope that he can figure out the timing of customers which appears to be his only issue so far.
