Here's the latest raves and recommendations from our neighborhood business reviews:

All Purpose Pizza rakes in the high marks

  • atl native says "Best pizza I've had since moving here in 1991"
  • Dora says "Great Pizza! And locally owned"
  • SafeAndSound recommending the thin crust pizza and kids pasta with meatballs. 
  • Elmwood would like to see the return of a 15% discount and a different kind of sausage

WontYouBeMyNeighbor says Central Cinema (a CDNews sponsor) is "A great night out. Take a few friends! A pitcher of beer, popcorn covered in brewer's yeast, and tasty food."

Tristen loves the Mad-Mad Farmers Market that's at MLK & Union on Fridays. This Friday is the last day of the season, so make plans to stop by.

And - about the sausage - we changed the grind a little, so it is more textured (not sure what to call it - meatier? ha ha) and that is the best we can do since we cook it in house....

a bar called 19
19 is still a GO - our liquor license is at the LCB and is being reviewed THIS WEEK!! We have no idea if there were any comments during the 2 week community feedback period, and will hopefully find out this week or next if we need to provide "further documentation" or whether we have to defend any aspect of the application. Fingers crossed.

Our next task is the health dept - but that should be easier than the liquor control board (I hope).

So the lease-option is signed, our family of 4 moves into the live space above the bar late next week and pending any major hurdles, we should start building in the new year!!
