11:19AM - 1300 E Madison St - Shoplifting - Person is being pursued my Rite Aid security
11:48AM - 1400 S Jackson St - Narcotics Activity - Man selling in the stairwell of a building
12:28PM - 19th Ave and E Pike St - Disturbance - Caller says that parking attendants refuse to let him have his vehicle. He has been arguing with them for thirty minutes.
1:07PM - 1900 Broadway E - Fight Disturbance - Dudes fighting
4:36PM - E Marion and 27th Ave - Narcotics Activity - Dude selling, black male, dew rag, black shirt, blue jeans
4:44PM - Bolyston Ave and E Pine St - Weapons Call - Man seen going into a business with a pistol in a holster. *people, if you're gonna carry a weapon, conceal it!
4:45PM - 100 14th Ave - Narcotics Activity - People selling
5:17PM - 600 E Union St - Disturbance - Buzz-kill caller is complaining about loud music...
5:38PM - 2201 E Madison St - Shoplifting - Man in custody at Safeway requiring backup. The suspect doesn't feel backup is necessary. He could be heard over the radio asking, "Backup for what?!!"
5:50PM - Belmont Ave and E Thomas St - Disturbance - Mental woman directing traffic, purple robe, scrubs

Openly carrying a pistol in a holster isn't illegal
Though a concealed pistol license shall be issued to anyone who isn't a criminal and/or insane, it isn't illegal to openly carry one in this city or state. That being said, if the gentleman in question was threatening anyone it can be construed as brandishing.

Pragmatically speaking, I agree that you'll have much less trouble from the police and other civilians if you carry concealed. However, a right not exercised is a right lost.
