11:53AM - 28th S. & S. Jackson - Robbery - A man grabbed $10 out of the hand of a woman. She decided to fight back, and grabbed the jacket out of his hand. As of right now, the man still has the $10, and the woman still has the jacket. The suspect is a black male, 19, red shirt, jeans, with a group of other black males. He ran off southbound on 28th.
Update: An officer ("zebra unit" - is that the gang unit?) was in the area, spotted the suspect, and took him into custody.
Update x2: He had cash in three of his four pockets, but he said it was all his. The witness was brought over and gave a positive ID of him.
12:10PM - 851 Rainier Ave S - Theft - A man is at the recycling center trying to sell a wheelchair ramp that was stolen from 504 Broadway a short time ago. Selling a wheelchair ramp for scrap? That's pretty low...
Update: 12:14pm The suspects were gone when police arrived.
12:22PM - 12th S & S. King St - Jaywalking - No slack cut for the peds
1:45PM - 8th S. & S. Jackson - Theft - Had a purse snatch just on the west side of I-5. He ran east on Jackson and up behind the Pacific Rim building. Black male, 30s, 6' medium build, brown skull cap, light green jacket.
Update: The suspect is running across the southbound lanes of I-5
Update x2: 1:50pm He's now running eastbound into Yesler Terrace
Update x3: 1:52pm He's been taken into custody
2:00PM - 100 28th Ave - Disturbance - A woman was outside kicking a black SUV. Black female, mid 20s, black coat, with a young girl
2:01PM - 2600 E. Roy - Theft - A man in a black pickup truck stole some copper pipe from a construction site and drove off.
2:17PM - 665 23rd Ave - Disturbance - Male & female transients refusing to leave the AM/PM.
2:24PM - 400 23rd Ave - Trespassing - A non-student just walked into Garfield via the main entrance. Black male, 15, wearing black & red. No threats or weapons seen, but he refused to leave when asked.
3:15PM - 2300 S Judkins St - Alarm - Residential alarm triggered, front entry
3:31PM - 11th E. & E. Aloha - Exposer - A man is masturbating as he walks down the street. White male, 60s
4:07PM - 1500 25th Ave - Narcotics Activity - In front of a home
4:10PM - - Reckless Driver - An orange Crown Vic is driving erratically on Jackson from MLK, flashing gang signs as they go.
4:29PM - 427 12th Ave - Disturbance - Aggressive panhandlers at the AM/PM, "getting into peoples faces"
4:49PM - 665 23rd Ave - Assault - An AM/PM employee is in a dispute with a customer.
Update: The suspect is now beating on the clerk in the parking lot. Black male, 6', 35, medium build, black jacket, blue shirt, and black pants. Last seen walking westbound.
4:59PM - 2301 S. Jackson - Suspicious Circumstance - A man stopped and asked a young kid to get into his vehicle. 35 year old hispanic male in a burgundy sedan, currently hanging out behind the Red Apple.
5:17PM - 300 30th Ave S - Narcotics Activity - In front of a house
5:22PM - 11th & E. Pine - Assault - A security guard at Value Village shoved the complainant
5:35PM - Broadway E. & E. John - Theft - A man stole a person's card from an ATM . Black male, 40, 5'8", 180, blue pants, dark blue pullover, black baseball cap

Jaywalking tickets
Tickets for jaywalking wouldn't bother me if tickets were also given to the motorists who ignore pedestrians waiting to cross at crosswalks and intersections. Motorists receive tickets only after they hit a pedestrian at an intersection or crosswalk. Otherwise, they have a free pass.

Jaywalking
Tickets for cars not letting pedestrians cross, not going to happen. I wait and wait to cross at 25th and E John and even police cars pass me by on a regular basis. I did however get their attention, and a jaywalking ticket, at fourth and pine when I entered the crosswalk just as the "dont walk" started flashing. The icing on the cake was pointing out two drug visable exchanges while the officer was writting up my ticket.
