CDNews Police Scanner - 10/13

From a gusty day in Seattle's East Precinct:

2:05PM - 900 28th Ave S - Theft - Caller says that his landlord entered his apartment and took some tools, then left southbound in a silver Mercedes
2:29PM - 22nd & E. Marion - Suspicious Circumstance - A kid drove a a gold or beige Toyota van into the alley, then got out and ran away. The license plate matches a stolen vehicle. Suspect is a black male, about 12 years old, 5' tall, in dark baggy clothing
2:42PM - Rainier & Dearborn - Accident - A burglary detective heading to a call in the South precinct had himself a little accident. No injuries, but it sounds like the paperwork for any officer-involved collision is massive.
2:47PM - 1500 E. Jefferson - Disturbance - A tenant is in a dispute with his/her landlord
3:14PM - 100 14th Ave S - Threat - A man's ex-girlfriend is sending him text messages where she threatens to bring her girlfriends over to beat him up. She's a white female, 23, residing in Shoreline, and with an open non-contact order with the complainant. Sounds like a sweet girl...
3:29PM - 2400 S. Irving - Suspicious Circumstance - Man is possibly casing the neighborhood. Hispanic male, 17, dark knit cap, sunglasses
5:27PM - 1419 12th Ave - Accident - Car vs bike accident.
5:47PM - 300 20th Ave S - Threat - Caller says a neighbor threatened to shoot him a few days ago.
5:55PM - 6th & Cherry Seattle - Robbery - A man was the victim of a strong-arm robbery under I-5. He's bleeding. Suspects are 2 indian males, 20s, one bare chested carrying a black shirt, appeared to be transients. Last seen headed eastbound, possibly towards St. James Cathedral.

I saw that guy! 3:29pm
He came to my door saying he was selling cookie dough for his high school. I said no thanks, do you only have cookie dough? Then he mumbled and didn't try to sell me very hard. (So that was suspicious.) And he wasn't wearing very good clothes for "casing the neighborhood." It was a very distinctive white hoodie with hood-goth writing and graphics all over it. (I told him he had awesome clothes.) He was wearing mirrored sunglasses, and I almost told him to take them off if he was going to try to sell me something. Since he looks like a thug (which was probably the point -- but was it merely a fashion statement?)

The other thing that made me think he wasn't casing is that we're right across from an elementary school that's letting out, and the place is crawling with people aka witnesses.

But I'm just a bumpkin. Maybe he was casing after all. If someone gets hit by him I'm gonna feel like a doofus!
