All the East Precinct shenanigans from Wednesday, September 24th, 2008:

11:03AM - Jackson St. S & Martin Luther King Jr. Way S. - Accident - 2 vehicles with injuries.
11:08AM - Rainier Ave S & S. Charles - Hazard - An elderly man keeps stepping into traffic. White male, 60s, carrying a cane
12:41PM - 26th Ave and E Alder St - Car Pursuit - A car that officers are quite familiar with is failing to yield to a patrol car. The chase is low speed (< 25 mph) and heading Northbound up 26th. Officers believe he is heading for his home in the area of 27th and Spring. Update: Officers apprehended the suspect at 26th and Marion.
12:51PM - 1318 E Boston - Hit and Run - Copper-colored 80's Honda Civic struck a car and fled the scene.
12:56PM - 23rd Ave and E Union St - Strong-Arm Robbery - Occurred on a metro bus or at the bus stop - little information about the situation is known. Update: Here's how it went down: the bus was stopped at 23rd & Union, and the suspect stole the victim's 3G iphone, then got off the bus and walked southbound. Suspect is a black male, 18, athletic build, 6'4", in a red zip up hoody, dark jeans
1:22PM - 201 Broadway E - Shoplifting - Adult male in custody at Rite Aid
1:45PM - Judkins Playground - Fight Disturbance - Group of people fighting near S Norman. Police arrived and found about 20 people in the park, but none fighting
2:15PM - 1000 S. Weller - Suicide Threat - Woman told her therapist that she was going to kill herself. Officials "pinged her cell phone, and the cell phone company gave them this location". We don't usually publish the suicide threats (there's often several per day), but this one about locating via cell phone was just too interesting to ignore. 2200 Everett Ave E
2:43PM - 3600 E. Pine - Alarm - Residential alarm covering the front entry
2:46PM - 500 17th Ave - Disturbance - Female outside near the cafeteria is causing problems. Evidently this is a common problem. Black female, 40s, dark clothing
2:55PM - 125 16th E. - Exposer - A female is exposing herself in front of Group Health.
3:20PM - Boren Ave & Broadway - Accident - Vehicle vs. pedestrian accident
3:51PM - 1000 Terrace St. - Threat - A man needs a police escort home to get some things from his house, where his wife is present and threatening to kill him. He describes her as "out of control".
4:43PM - 1000 S. Washington - Disturbance - Complainant says her roommates locked her out and are refusing to let her in to get her stuff
4:51PM - 21st & E Union - Narcotics Activity - Report of 2 or more suspects dealing drugs. Black male, 20s, white baseball cap
5:37PM - 900 24th S - Domestic Disturbance - The callers "slightly mental" boyfriend is on her roof, yelling at her. Update: Things are escalating, with the suspect now sawing things off of the roof with a small handsaw. But never fear: one of the officers is armed with a Taser

Sawing off the roof?
What exactly would a roof have that is capable of being sawed off? A shingle? Got to give him creativity points though.
