Stolen car parts

If anyone is having a difficult time starting their car/truck, you might want to check to make sure all the necessary car parts are attached.
On last Monday evening/early morning, someone stole my car's fuel pump and fuel filter. While trying to start my car last Tuesday, my neighbor noticed a pool of gasoline under my car. The thief just unbolted the panel and cut the wires, and then took off.
Not sure exactly why they targeted my car ...
